‘Christmas is dreams and visions of wonderment. These dreams and visions can be found in the images captured in postcards. A dream fulfilled is not longer a dream but reality. ‘And visions of sugar plums danced in their heads’. Sometimes the dreams are so much better than reality. We dream of Santa coming at midnight and eating the cookies we left him along with the cold glass of milk. We dream of the stuffed stockings hanging in front of the fireplace when most of us don´t have a fireplace. We dream of the North Pole and elves working so that on Christmas Eve Santa and his reindeer can deliver gifts to everyone, especially those who are in such a desperate need. We dream of the Christmas´s of our childhood and of the angel on the top of the tree that has been handed down one generation to another. Above all, we dream of giving some else something that will make their eyes shine brighter that the lights reflecting off the tinsel on the Christmas tree’.
